Recovery Now Speaks Your Language
This one's been a long time coming, and we're genuinely proud of it: starting today, every page on GAMeetingFinder.com can be read in 18 languages.
One tap on the multi-language dropdown icon at the top of any page, and the entire site — the meeting finder, the recovery tools, every word — translates instantly.
🌍 Help, in the Words You Think In
Addiction doesn't stop at a border, and it doesn't only speak English. Someone searching for a meeting at 2 a.m. shouldn't have to fight a language barrier on top of everything else. So we knocked it down.
That covers the four official languages of Singapore, the Portuguese spoken across Brazil, and the languages of millions of people for whom recovery resources are hard to find in their own words. Look for the small multi-language dropdown icon in the header — pick a language, and the whole site follows.
Don't see your language? Email [email protected] and we'll look into adding it.

🤝 Texas Defunded Treatment — Help Is Stepping Back In
When Texas launched its lottery in 1991, it set aside about $2 million a year to treat problem gambling. That money dried up years ago — leaving Texas one of only about seven states with no dedicated funding for gambling-addiction treatment. Now a surprising donor is helping fill the void, and the people who slipped through the gap may finally have somewhere to turn.
📉 “Trading” That Looks a Lot Like Gambling
Prediction-market platforms — where people wager on elections, sports, and current events under the banner of “trading” — have exploded across the US. Public-health advocates are warning that, label aside, the harm looks familiar, and they're calling for real support and guardrails before the next wave of people get hurt.
⚖️ A Court Calls “Skill Games” What They Are
In a 4–2 decision, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled that the slot-style “skill game” terminals now found in bars, gas stations, and corner stores are slot machines and unlawful gambling devices under state law — a consumer-protection win in a fight that's playing out in statehouses across the country.
📚 Also on the Research Shelf
A new systematic review in Frontiers in Public Health looked at 39 studies and found that almost no health systems have a structured way to get people from gambling harm into actual treatment — exactly the gap a free, instant meeting finder is built to close. We've also added a fresh batch of videos and shorts this week.

Something Big Is Still Coming
And we haven't forgotten the big thing we've been hinting at. It's still in the works behind the scenes — bigger than any single feature — and we think it'll be worth the wait. We're not ready to say what it is just yet, but you'll be the first to know.
Thank you for being part of this. If the language launch made you think of someone — a family member, a friend, someone who's been waiting for help in their own words — sending them the site is one of the best ways to help us reach further. As always, we welcome your feedback and ideas.
One more thing — we're on Facebook now. Give us a follow for new features, recovery resources, and a heads-up the moment that big reveal is ready.
With gratitude 💙
