Gambling addiction is one of the fastest-growing addictions in the world. Studies show that about 1 in 5 people with severe gambling problems will attempt suicide. Gambling addiction carries the highest suicide risk of any addiction.
The rapid growth of online gambling has created a major public health challenge around the world. Today, millions of people can place a bet instantly from a phone or computer at any time of day, yet finding immediate help for gambling addiction is still often difficult, confusing, and outdated. Gambling addiction is linked to severe financial harm, mental health struggles, family breakdown, and the highest suicide risk of any addiction. The Gambling Addiction Ministry Fund (GAMF, Inc.) was created to help close this gap by making recovery support easier to access when people need it most.
Through our free website, GAmeetingFinder.com, individuals can quickly find live online gambling recovery meetings taking place across the United States and around the world, 24 hours a day, free of charge, and without registration. In just the first two months, more than 6,000 people used the platform to find support, with continued growth driven entirely by community sharing and word of mouth.
We believe gambling addiction must be treated as a serious public health issue deserving of greater awareness, innovation, and collaboration. GAMF is seeking mission-aligned partners, sponsors, nonprofits, healthcare leaders, recovery organizations, researchers, and community advocates who share a commitment to expanding access to recovery support worldwide.
Together, we have an opportunity to build a more connected, accessible, and compassionate recovery system for individuals and families affected by gambling addiction.
Our roadmap. Your impact.
Today GAMF runs the world's largest gambling recovery meeting directory. This is what we hope to build next.
Free Meeting Directory
600+ free Gamblers Anonymous meetings, available around the clock. Already serving thousands every month.
Research & Education Hub
Peer-reviewed research, recovery news, and educational content — making the science of gambling addiction accessible to everyone.
Outpatient Treatment Network
A vetted directory of licensed therapists and outpatient programs specializing in gambling addiction, searchable by location and insurance.
Crisis Support Line
A dedicated gambling-specific crisis line staffed by people in recovery. Because the general lines don't always understand the nuance.
Family & Loved Ones Resources
Tools, guides, and community for the families who are living with and supporting someone in the grip of gambling addiction.
Residential Treatment Center
The world's first dedicated inpatient facility for young adults with gambling addiction. This is the big one. The goal that everything else is building toward.
The solution to gambling addiction is bigger than any one organization.
Gambling addiction is a public health crisis. Solving it requires the right people at the same table. GAMF is actively seeking relationships with the following partners.
Federal Government
SAMHSA, NIH, and federal mental health offices are natural partners for expanding access to gambling addiction treatment. We want to work alongside federal agencies to bring research funding, policy advocacy, and public awareness to a condition that has been historically underfunded.
State Public Health Agencies
Every state with legal gambling has a public health obligation to the people who get hurt by it. We want to partner with state behavioral health departments to connect their residents to our free resources and co-develop treatment pathways that do not require insurance or income.
Councils on Problem Gambling
State and national councils on problem gambling share our mission directly. We see enormous opportunity to align our platform, data, and reach with the advocacy and clinical networks these organizations have already built. A referral relationship alone could help thousands more people find help.
Professional Sports Leagues
The NFL, NBA, MLB, and their partners have generated billions from the legalization of sports betting. They also have a direct relationship with the fans most at risk. We believe responsible gambling is not enough. We want to work with leagues on meaningful recovery infrastructure, not just hotline numbers in fine print.
Individual Donors
Some of our most important relationships will be with individuals who have been personally touched by gambling addiction, whether their own or someone they love. A single major gift can fund a year of operations, a research study, or a piece of the residential treatment center. Every dollar is traceable to real impact.
Foundations & Corporations
Health-focused foundations, employee giving programs, and corporate social responsibility budgets are a natural fit for GAMF's mission. We welcome conversations with any organization that wants to attach its name to a clear, measurable impact in the addiction recovery space.

When someone reaches the point where they are ready for help, that moment is critical. If support is not immediately available, the opportunity can be lost. We are building the infrastructure that closes that gap permanently. We cannot do it without partners who believe what we believe.
